Glanydon Cottage, Bridge Street, Corris, Gwynedd, SY20 9SH
The cottage is only 200 metres from the A487, off the stretch between Cross Foxes and Machynlleth.
- If you are coming in on the A489 via Machynlleth, drive all the way down the main shopping street (Heol Maengwyn) to the T junction at the end (with clock tower).
- Turn right. You are now on the A487 towards Dolgellau.
- As you leave Machynlleth you will pass Machynlleth railway station on the right, whilst opposite is a fuel station and shop (Nisa), the site also has EV charging points.
- Continue and cross the new bridge (opened February 2024) over the River Dyfi.
- Continue on the A487 for nearly 5 miles. Although it is an A road, it is windy.
- There is a sign for Corris and, below it, a brown sign with a steam engine on it pointing off to the right for the Corris Railway. After a left-hand bend, take this right turn-off at the Braich Goch Inn (on the left) and just a metre or so beyond a layby/bus pull-in on the right and drive down the slope into the village.
- The road is fairly narrow. You will pass the little church on the right.
- The village car park is at the Corris Railway station on the right before you get to the cottage; we suggest that you come to the cottage to drop off your luggage first.
- ‘Glanydon’ is on the left, past the railway and next to the Corris Institute (a black and white building).
- The holiday cottage is next to the river; it has a private entrance through a studded, white front door and has a table and chairs outside on the little terrace.

- If you are coming in from the north on the A487 from the Cross Foxes direction, drive down through Corris Uchaf (Upper Corris) with its houses and a few shops.
- Driving away from Corris Uchaf you will pass signs for the Corris Craft Centre.
- After about a kilometre there is a VERY tight left turn to Corris. You will likely have to swing over to the right-hand carriage-way, or, go past the turning a few metres and use the layby/bus stop opposite the Braich Goch Inn to make the turn down to the village.
